Brett Dixon’s practice focuses on structuring business ventures and investment transactions with an emphasis on tax-efficient structures. His work includes planning for taxable and tax-free acquisitions and dispositions of business operations. As a part of his practice, Mr. Dixon has significant experience in designing acquisition structures for private equity and other investment funds.

In addition, Mr. Dixon provides advice with respect to the tax issues arising in connection with debt and equity financings and refinancings, including the restructuring of financially-challenged businesses. In addition to being instrumental to the firm’s fund formation practice, Mr. Dixon also advises the principals of fund sponsors on their internal arrangements and on their relationship with investors.

Mr. Dixon is a founding partner of Finn Dixon & Herling.
