The Fairfield County Business Journal quoted corporate partner Charles J. Downey III regarding crowd funding in the story “JOBS Act: Good for business, bad for investors?” published on March 26, 2012.
In cautioning about certain features of the crowd funding portion of the legislation, Mr. Downey is quoted as saying that crowd funding is “a compelling concept, like a barn raising....[But,] [t]here is a real risk for mischief, to the extent that unscrupulous players enter the space.”
