Ed Weiss has practiced in the area of finance law for over 25 years. He has extensive experience representing both borrowers and lenders in unsecured and secured finance transactions, including acquisition and other leveraged lending, asset-based lending, cash-flow lending, syndicated credit transactions (both club deals and large syndicated transactions) and maritime and real estate finance. He has represented numerous senior and mezzanine creditors in complex subordination/intercreditor arrangements. He has also worked on a large number of workouts and other restructurings.
Mr. Weiss has represented major national and regional banks and finance companies, private equity funds and mezzanine funds. Recent transactions have included significant restructurings/workouts in the commercial printing, franchise restaurant and graphic equipment industries, a $400 million revolving credit facility for a major maritime transportation company, lease financing transactions, a private note placement, the sale of distressed debt, and various acquisition financings.
