Elizabeth H. Tong’s practice focuses on federal and state taxation of business transactions. Her experience includes structuring domestic and international taxable and tax-free acquisitions, dispositions and other reorganization transactions, as well as providing advice on lending and other commercial transactions.
Prior to joining Finn Dixon and Herling, Ms. Tong was employed in the Tax group at White & Case LLP (New York) where her practice focused on the tax aspects of lending and leasing transactions.
Ms. Tong received her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School in 2000. She received a B.A. summa cum laude from Lehigh University in 1996 and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Beta Delta. She is admitted to practice in the States of Connecticut and New York. She has been a member of the board of directors of the Sexual Assault Crisis and Education Center, a nonprofit organization in Stamford, Connecticut, since 2005.
