Chris Craig is a leader of our Debt Financing practice group. Mr. Craig represents lenders and borrowers, including private equity and hedge funds, in leveraged finance transactions and secured credit facilities, including cash-flow and asset-based financings. He has significant experience in acquisition financings, first and second lien facilities, mezzanine financings, restructurings and loan sales and participations, including non-performing loan portfolio acquisitions. Mr. Craig works on transactions ranging in size from “middle market” to “large cap” financings. Mr. Craig also has experience in international financings, including a two year engagement in his former firm’s Tokyo Office.
Recent transactions include the representation of:
(i) a major financial institution, as agent, in a plan of reorganization financing for a radio broadcast company;
(ii) a major financial institution with respect to its participation in both a DIP financing facility and related plan of reorganization financing upon emergence of the applicable debtor, a manufacturer and supplier of commercial vehicle components, from Chapter 11;
(iii) a major financial institution, as agent, in connection with a vehicle fleet financing for a large fuel distribution company;
(iv) a sponsor in connection with senior secured and mezzanine financings to acquire the largest North American manufacturer of custom engineered non-pneumatic wheels; and
(v) a portfolio company of a sponsor in connection with senior secured and mezzanine financings to acquire a manufacturer of custom steel and aluminum enclosures for the commercial generator market.
Prior to joining Finn Dixon & Herling, Mr. Craig was a partner at a major international law firm.
