Tanyee Cheung's practice focuses on commercial finance, including asset based and cash flow lending, secured and unsecured loans, distressed and workout transactions (including DIP and POR financings), second lien and mezzanine financings and structured financing products. Ms. Cheung represents borrowers, agents, senior lenders and junior lenders in commercial financings.
Recent transactions include the representation of a major financial institution as agent for lenders in connection with a secured term loan facility and representation of a major financial institution as agent on a POR facility as well as representation of the institution as an existing lender in the pre-bankruptcy facility.
Prior to joining Finn Dixon & Herling, Ms. Cheung was in-house senior counsel at General Electric Capital Corporation, allowing Ms. Cheung to gain insight to the needs of institutional debt financing clients from an internal perspective. Ms. Cheung also previously worked for Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP (New York City and Stamford) and Cahill Gordon & Reindel (New York City), and was a law clerk in the Southern District of New York for Judge Mary Johnson Lowe.
